Being appointed as the chairman of the Committee to Select a Pipe organ for Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Crookston Minnesota has been an all consuming task over the last 1 1/2 years. It came to a culmination on April 14th 1996. Dr. Charles Ore gave a stirring performance, demonstrating the character of the different ranks of solo and accompaniment pipes. Dr. Ore is rumored to be the finest organist in the Missouri Synod Church system, and no one in attendance could disagree after hearing his emotion charged playing. Following are some of the articles that appeared in various newspapers. Should have a good color scan of the organ in a few days.
